FEATURE

Menu bar footprint is lighter, easing CPU and memory load

When working on a computer for long hours, tools residing in the menu bar often drain significant power and processing capacity unnoticed.

Previously, when the popover was closed, each refresh consumed about 1.2 seconds of CPU time and could run three times a minute, taking up an average of about 6% of compute capacity during work. Now, incremental scanning no longer re-lists all Muse sessions whenever an individual file changes; it only re-parses when sessions change and caches retrieved Claude project names, reducing steady-state refresh time to about 0.13 seconds. After closing the popover, previously switched popovers each left behind WebKit processes, reaching up to six processes and consuming about 400 MB of memory; now only the current one is retained after closing, while the switching experience remains unchanged when open.

FEATURE

Claude Desktop quota reads reliably, no longer dropping when expired or locked

When tracking Claude Desktop usage, you no longer have to worry about quota numbers mysteriously turning blank or records suddenly dropping out. Even if plan history is expired, percentage and reset time continue to display as long as the latest historical organization still has fresh local HTTP quota responses; expired responses, invalid organizations, and caches from other accounts will still not provide data. When local cache data exceeds the first entry file, new quota responses may be written to Chromium continuation files; previously missed, they are now located and read smoothly. When Claude log files are temporarily locked, such as during background scans by Windows antivirus software, usage previously stayed missing until files changed or the app was restarted; it now automatically retries reading on the next refresh. Where you previously lost sight of your quota whenever antivirus scanned or the cache split into multiple volumes—forcing an app restart to recover—these edge cases are now handled seamlessly so your remaining quota stays visible.

FEATURE

Model billing reflects actual execution, keeping report names and pricing intact

Seeing cryptic raw IDs on an AI expense breakdown—or being billed entirely at higher rates after switching models—is bound to cause confusion.

When you switch models mid-conversation in Codex, usage is now priced separately according to the model that actually ran. Earlier turns were previously billed entirely under the session's final model, but this update re-parses Codex history to correct the records. Claude Haiku 5.5 now has dedicated pricing and a short name; costs no longer disappear when offline from online pricing tables, and reports display its short name instead of the raw model ID. Additionally, prompts and dialogs that auto-start a 5-hour timer are now correctly relabeled as Gemini 3.8 Flash Low for Antigravity.

BUGFIX

Reload removed from popover context menu, preventing blank screens

Many users are used to right-clicking on widget screens to refresh, but this action previously risked turning the popover completely blank.

Although v0.22.5 previously attempted to address this issue, checking the wrong menu item property meant that right-clicking on the popover and selecting 'Reload' still caused the entire popover to become a blank screen. 'Reload' has now been removed from the context menu, fixing this issue.

Original changelog

Original changelogMenu bar footprint is lighter, easing CPU and memory load
**usage uses far less CPU while it sits in the menu bar.** With the panel closed, a refresh took about 1.2 s of CPU and could run three times a minute, about 6% CPU on average while you work. Incremental history scans no longer list every Muse session again for each changed file, Muse sessions are reparsed only when they change, and resolved Claude project names are cached. A steady-state refresh now takes about 0.13 s.
**Closing the panel frees the memory of panels you browsed.** Each panel you switched to kept its own WebKit process after the panel closed, up to six and about 400 MB. Now only the current panel stays loaded once the panel closes. Switching while it is open is unchanged.
Original changelogClaude Desktop quota reads reliably, no longer dropping when expired or locked
**Claude Desktop quota remains available when plan history stops updating.** A fresh local HTTP quota response for the latest history organization can now supply percentages and reset times even after the history sample expires. Expired responses, invalid organizations and another account's cache still return no data.
**Claude Desktop quota finds responses in Chromium's follow-on cache files.** Once the cache outgrew its first entry file, a fresh quota response could sit in a follow-on file and be missed.
**A Claude log that cannot be read is retried on the next refresh.** A brief lock, for example an antivirus scan on Windows, used to leave that file's usage missing until the file changed or usage restarted.
Original changelogModel billing reflects actual execution, keeping report names and pricing intact
**Claude Haiku 5.5 has prices and a short name.** Its cost no longer drops out when the online price table is unreachable, and reports show "Haiku 5.5" instead of the raw model ID. The Auto-start 5-hour Session tooltip and dialog now name Gemini 3.8 Flash Low for Antigravity.
**Codex usage after a mid-session model switch is priced with the model that ran it.** Earlier turns were priced as the session's latest model. Codex history is reparsed once after this update.
Original changelogReload removed from popover context menu, preventing blank screens
**The panel's right-click menu no longer offers Reload.** The v0.22.5 fix looked up the wrong menu item property, so right-click > Reload still blanked the panel (#42).
