FEATURE

Windows supports the Claude Code side panel, and hidden tools stay hidden in sync

When working with AI on a Windows computer, just open the tray panel menu and you can call up a dedicated info bar anytime.

On Windows this plugin no longer relies on POSIX commands (the command set compatible with Unix systems); instead it uses tasklist to track ongoing conversations and findstr to read long conversation logs. Account quota is provided directly by usage.exe status --json. When opened, it also switches to a fullscreen interface so the panel can dock on the right side, and closing the panel switches back to the original layout. Tools you hide in the usage menu are also hidden in sync in the side panel and the compact box above the input field, on both macOS and Windows.

**Claude Code side pane on Windows:** The system-tray panel menu now has the **Claude Code side pane** switch. The pane runs on Windows without POSIX tools (`tasklist` for live conversations, `findstr` for long transcripts), and `usage.exe status --json` supplies its quota data. Enabling it also turns on Claude Code's fullscreen layout, which the pane needs to dock on the right; turning the pane off switches the layout back.
**Claude Code side pane follows Hide Sections:** Tools hidden from the usage menu are also hidden in the pane and the compact box above the prompt, on macOS and Windows.
