FEATURE

Windows console stops showing gibberish, progress bars and setup output display perfectly

You will no longer be interrupted by bizarre gibberish errors when running commands in legacy Windows consoles. Previously, in traditional cp950 (legacy text encoding) console environments, encountering localized symbols like "✓" during --setup and --unsetup would cause the system to fail because it couldn't understand those Unicode (universal character standard) characters. Now, these hooks (hidden plugins used to intercept and report status) and setup outputs strictly use UTF-8 (modern text encoding). As a result, setup commands no longer fail, and when Claude Code reads a pipe for the statusLine (the progress bar at the bottom), it successfully keeps its intended glyphs. It's like handing a modern emoji dictionary to a grandfather who only reads ancient text; he used to just walk away, but now the system provides a translator so he can understand and happily do his job.

FEATURE

Windows menus get a massive overhaul, aligning with macOS and fixing clipped screens

Windows users clicking the system tray or panel menus will now find these features neatly organized and easy to access. Previously, opening panel control submenus on Windows would often cause them to get ruthlessly clipped by the window edge; now, options like Change Panel and Hide Sections expand securely inside a scrollable menu. Furthermore, the Windows interface has reached parity with macOS for daily updates and workflow controls: the built-in panel buttons now launch a localized HTML (web markup language) overlay for controls, and the system tray menu features the AI Update Daily, a Hide Sections submenu for Claude, Codex, and Antigravity, and toggles for Resume Last Session and Token Saver (a mode to save AI processing units). Visibility changes apply instantly to the open panel, and quota alerts correctly use native Windows notifications at the same thresholds as macOS. The panel menu no longer clutters its bottom with duplicate update, position-reset, and quit actions. It's like a newly renovated control room: previously, the screens were so small that some buttons got chopped off, and you lacked some tools the Apple team had. Now you have a scrolling monitor with these workflow buttons brought over and neatly arranged. (Note: the macOS-only AI Talent Market remains unavailable on Windows).

FEATURE

Windows panels are now freely draggable without messing up card orders

You can now freely drag the Windows system tray panels around your screen. By grabbing the subtle handle at the top of the frameless panel or clicking the empty areas of the quota card, your cursor turns into a grabbing hand, letting you move the window with ease. The system remembers where you put it for the next time, clamping it safely within your active workspace. Even better, pressing empty areas of the quota card used to accidentally trigger card reordering, but now the Windows shim (a compatibility layer bridging different system behaviors) temporarily designates these non-interactive zones exclusively for dragging. This means you can comfortably move the entire panel without scrambling your perfectly organized cards, while all buttons and links remain fully clickable. It's like a corkboard that used to be nailed to the wall—now it has wheels so you can roll it anywhere, and when you push the edges to move it, you no longer have to worry about accidentally knocking all the sticky notes off.

Original changelog

Original changelogWindows console stops showing gibberish, progress bars and setup output display perfectly
**Windows hook and setup output now uses UTF-8**: statusLine bars keep their intended Unicode glyphs when Claude Code reads a pipe, and `--setup` / `--unsetup` no longer fail in legacy cp950 consoles when localized messages contain characters such as ✓.
Original changelogWindows menus get a massive overhaul, aligning with macOS and fixing clipped screens
**Windows panel controls now fit and follow the macOS grouping**: Change Panel and Hide Sections expand in place inside a scrollable menu instead of opening clipped side submenus; the panel menu now ends with only Refresh Now, avoiding duplicate update, position-reset, and quit actions.
**Windows panel switch buttons now open a focused controls menu**: clicking a panel's built-in Switch Panel button opens a localized HTML overlay for panel, visibility, refresh, notification, and workflow controls; tray-only update, position-reset, and quit actions stay out of the panel menu.
**Windows tray menu parity for daily updates and workflow controls**: the Windows system tray now links to AI Update Daily, offers a Hide Sections submenu for Claude, Codex, and Antigravity, supports quota-alert notifications at the same thresholds as macOS, and exposes Resume Last Session and Token Saver toggles. Changes to visible sections are injected into an open panel immediately; quota alerts use native Windows tray notifications. The macOS-only AI Talent Market remains unavailable on Windows.
Original changelogWindows panels are now freely draggable without messing up card orders
**Windows quota-card empty areas now drag the panel rather than reorder cards**: the Windows shim temporarily marks only non-interactive card presses as native drag regions, retaining saved card order while buttons and links remain clickable.
**Windows tray panels can now be repositioned**: a subtle top drag handle and quota-card empty areas move frameless panels with grab/grabbing cursors; the position is restored on the next open, clamped to the current work area, and can be reset from the tray menu.
