FEATURE

The AI Talent Market arrives, and 17-second menu bar freezes are gone

The menu bar now features an incredibly powerful "AI Talent Market" panel. This is a fully offline, no-account-required catalog of curated AI assistant teams tailored for specific scenarios (like a one-person law practice or a solo software studio). You can install these personas directly onto your machine with one click and summon them by name in any conversation; you can even click a specific role to read their full profile and instantly launch them into a specific target folder. At the same time, we've entirely eliminated the agonizing 17+ second menu bar freezes that plagued long-time users. Previously, when you accumulated too many conversation logs, the system's tiny cache (temporary memory) would overflow—files it just remembered were instantly kicked out, forcing it to re-read the entire history from scratch on every tick. The cache has now been appropriately upsized, and the system now smartly parses incrementally from where it left off. It's like having a bookshelf that only held 10 books, forcing you to throw out and re-buy books every day; now you have a massive shelf and finally learned to use bookmarks. Plus, a brand-new temp agency just opened in your house, full of lawyers and engineers ready to be dispatched to any room the moment you point.

Original changelog

Original changelogThe AI Talent Market arrives, and 17-second menu bar freezes are gone
**AI Talent Market**: a new menu-bar panel for installing curated teams of Claude Code subagent personas — organized by scenario (a one-person law practice, a solo software studio, and more) — straight into `~/.claude/agents/`; once installed, call a persona by name in any Claude Code conversation. Search or browse by team, drill into a role for a full write-up and one-click launch into a new Terminal session, and pick which folder each launch targets instead of it being guessed for you. Runs fully local through a bundled companion CLI — no account, no network call.
**Menu bar refresh could take 17+ seconds on long-running installs**: the Claude Code / Codex history loaders cached parsed JSONL files behind a 512-entry LRU, too small once a machine has accumulated more sessions than that — every refresh evicted and fully re-parsed files that had just been cached the tick before. Both loaders now parse incrementally from the last confirmed byte offset instead of re-reading whole files, the cache is sized to hold a real working set, and a redundant title update that forced a full relayout on every critter-animation frame has been removed too.
