自託管執行器(self-hosted runner)的工作階段過去在 Claude Code 尚未正式啟動前,就會提早回報為「running」運作中狀態,導致 Claude 桌面應用程式過早發出「Claude is waiting for your input」的提示通知。
Message from @<sender>: <first line>。
When something goes wrong in a session, Claude can now use the SendFeedback tool to automatically draft a feedback report for you. You can review the details and send it straight from /feedback, saving you from manually copying error logs and writing bug reports. If you prefer not to have drafts generated, you can turn them off by setting {"feedbackDrafts": false} in your configuration.
Organizations that want to display custom guidance while Claude is thinking can add spinnerTipsOverride to ~/.claude/settings.json.
Paste this complete setting:
{"spinnerTipsOverride": {"label": "Team tips", "tipsFile": "~/.claude/team-tips.json"}}tipsFile points to a separate tips file, and label is its display name. Tip entries can include {id, text, cooldownSessions, priority} and rotate alongside built-in tips.
When a Bash permission prompt appears in your terminal, it now includes a helpful tip pointing toward auto mode.
A single keystroke allows you to select "Yes, and switch to auto mode", granting permission for the current command while immediately engaging auto mode so you don't have to keep approving routine operations.
To rein in API expenses on an existing codebase, you can now run /claude-api cost-optimize to profile your project's Claude API spend. It guides you systematically through key cost levers including caching, batch processing, effort levels, and model choices. It also assists in token hygiene, testing one measured change at a time.
Managing enterprise API resources is now much simpler with the updated /claude-api skill, which extends coverage across the Admin API suite.
It supports organization members, invites, workspaces, API keys, and rate limit reports. Workload identity federation (WIF) is fully included. Customer-managed encryption keys (CMEK) are also supported for enterprise security.
Rapidly navigating interactive menus no longer triggers the wrong item due to timing latency. Previously, typing a rapid sequence of arrow keys and Enter in history search, /config, /mcp, /skills, background tasks, or /model could accidentally act on the row directly above your target; input event processing is now fixed to reliably target your current selection.
Sub-agents no longer crash outright when their initial API call encounters a 404 model not found error.
Instead, they now transition smoothly through the session's fallback model chain, and if the operation still fails, the error sent back to the parent agent includes the error type, status, request id, and model name.
Hooks or background agents that dump megabytes of error output can no longer flood the conversation history and wedge the session on "Prompt is too long". The system now prevents excessive diagnostic output from overwhelming the context window, keeping your terminal responsive.
Using Ctrl keyboard shortcuts in terminals supporting the kitty keyboard protocol now works reliably under non-Latin keyboard layouts such as Cyrillic. Previously, switching input layouts prevented modifier key combinations from firing; keyboard event translation is now fixed across all keyboard configurations.
Mouse tracking reports that arrive split across stream reads directly after an escape prefix will no longer dump stray text fragments like <35;150;7M straight into your prompt input.
Input stream buffering now properly reconstructs split control sequences.
Users managing dotfiles with tools like nix/home-manager or GNU stow no longer risk having their configuration link erased. Previously, when the Bash sandbox cleaned up after running a command, if the ~/.claude/settings.json symlink was repointed outside the sandbox's writable area, the cleanup routine deleted the symlink; the sandbox now safely preserves these links.
Running /terminal-setup to configure keybindings for the Zed editor no longer wipes out your entire keymap configuration.
Instead of completely overwriting keymap.json, the command now cleanly merges its required keybindings into your existing file, preserving all your personal custom shortcuts.
When running /rename to rename your session, the interface no longer gives a silent confirmation if the session registry cannot be updated. It now explicitly alerts you that other sessions might still display the old name, ensuring you are aware of the registry state.
Sessions launched with --agent now maintain their custom system prompt during context compaction. Previously, running /compact or using "Summarize from here" caused the summary to be generated under the generic default system prompt; it now strictly preserves the conversation's own prompt instructions.
In the claude agents list, background sessions whose terminal host process died will no longer remain stuck displaying "opening…" forever.
The row now marks itself as failed within seconds along with the failure reason, and pressing Enter immediately restarts the session.
If a hook or background task cannot write to its output file, the system no longer buffers the data indefinitely in memory, preventing unbounded memory growth. Additionally, the log file now records an explicit note indicating where output was lost.
Running /install-github-app over an SSH connection now handles clipboard and browser limitations gracefully. The copy shortcut explicitly reports how the sign-in URL was copied rather than falsely claiming universal success, and if no browser can be opened remotely, the URL prints immediately to the screen.
Shell commands handed off from the foreground to background sessions no longer log internal errors or display a misleading [exited with code -1] banner upon completion.
Background task status is now reported cleanly upon normal termination.
Installing a version-less marketplace plugin across a second scope no longer purges and recreates its active cache directory. This eliminates the risk of disrupting existing, active sessions that are currently executing the plugin.
Remote Control sessions launched via /remote-control now reliably broadcast the working-tree diff to connected clients.
Previously, attached clients could not see pending file modifications; this sync issue is resolved so remote collaborators see current changes in real time.
Self-hosted runner sessions no longer report a "running" status before Claude Code has actually booted up. This eliminates premature "Claude is waiting for your input" notifications fired by the Claude desktop app while initialization is still underway.
First-run setup no longer abruptly aborts with "Unable to connect to Anthropic services" when managed settings configure gateway sign-in for Claude apps while standard Anthropic endpoints are blocked.
Initial configuration proceeds smoothly over the designated gateway channel.
In cloud sessions across web, desktop, and mobile apps, rapidly toggling your permission mode right after dispatching a message no longer causes the UI to flicker back to the prior mode. State synchronization now ensures your updated mode remains active regardless of network transmission timing.
If a cloud session's container restarts between turns while background agents, shells, or monitors are active, the resumed session no longer silently drops into limbo. It now explicitly reports any lost work and background processes that were interrupted.
Plugin marketplace security has been hardened against terminal tampering.
Plugin names containing control or invisible characters are now strictly rejected, and all text supplied by marketplaces rendered in /plugin and claude plugin is escape-safe.
In Bedrock, Vertex, Foundry, or telemetry-disabled sessions, Claude is now explicitly informed when a configured MCP (Model Context Protocol) server fails to connect, instead of hallucinating that the tools do not exist.
Sonnet 5's default auto-compact threshold now scales to its full 1M context window. Sessions on the 1M window will automatically compact context at approximately 967K tokens instead of roughly 934K tokens, unlocking more working room for long interactions.
Peer messages sent across sessions are now collapsed by default into a single-line preview showing Message from @<sender>: <first line>. You can press Ctrl+O at any time to expand and read the full body without cluttering your main stream.
Terminal hyperlinks rendered from Markdown now enforce safer formatting rules. Link targets that point to network or automounter paths, contain control characters, or lead with invisible characters are automatically rendered as plain text rather than clickable links.
The pull request badge in the prompt footer now optimizes its GitHub network calls. When refocusing your terminal window, it skips the GitHub re-check if the previous check occurred under a minute ago, saving bandwidth and keeping your prompt snappy.
Telemetry and analytics now remain disabled starting from process startup, rather than waiting until after login, whenever managed settings enforce gateway login or a custom OAuth deployment is active.
Gateway sign-in requests for Claude apps now explicitly identify Claude Code to the authorization server.
Requests include a surface=claude_code parameter during device authorization and specify a claude-code/<version> User-Agent header.
Enforcement of organization sign-in policies now immediately exits at startup if the administrator's managed settings cannot be read. Even if host-supplied or per-user Windows registry settings exist, the tool will refuse to launch without verified administrative policies, closing potential security bypasses.
Added the `SendFeedback` tool: when something goes wrong in a session, Claude can draft a feedback report for you to review and send from `/feedback` (turn off with the `feedbackDrafts` setting)Added `{id, text, cooldownSessions, priority}` entries, `tipsFile`, and `label` to `spinnerTipsOverride`, so organizations can rotate their own tips alongside the built-in onesAdded a tip on Bash permission prompts pointing to auto mode, with a one-keystroke "Yes, and switch to auto mode" optionAdded `/claude-api cost-optimize` to profile an existing project's Claude API spend and work through cost levers (caching, token hygiene, batch, effort, model choice) one measured change at a timeUpdated the `/claude-api` skill with Admin API coverage (organization members, invites, workspaces, API keys, rate limit reports, workload identity federation, CMEK)Fixed fast arrow-key + Enter sequences acting on the row above the one you navigated to in history search, `/config`, `/mcp`, `/skills`, background tasks, and `/model`Fixed sub-agents dying on a first-call model 404: they now use the session's fallback model chain, and the error returned to the parent includes the error type, status, request id, and modelFixed a hook or background agent that printed megabytes of error output being able to overflow the conversation and wedge the session on "Prompt is too long"Fixed Ctrl keyboard shortcuts not firing under non-Latin (e.g. Cyrillic) keyboard layouts in kitty-protocol terminalsFixed text like `<35;150;7M` being inserted into the prompt when a mouse report arrived split across reads right after the escape prefixFixed the Bash sandbox's after-command cleanup deleting a dotfile-managed `~/.claude/settings.json` symlink (nix/home-manager, stow) when it is repointed outside the sandbox's writable areaFixed `/terminal-setup` overwriting your entire Zed `keymap.json` instead of merging in its keybindingFixed `/rename` silently confirming when the session registry could not be updated; it now says other sessions may still show the old nameFixed `/compact` and "Summarize from here" in sessions started with `--agent` summarizing under the default system prompt instead of the conversation's ownFixed a background session showing "opening…" forever in `claude agents` after its terminal host process died; the row now fails within seconds with the reason, and Enter restarts itFixed unbounded memory growth when a hook's or background task's output file could not be written; the file now notes where output was lostFixed `/install-github-app` over SSH: the copy shortcut now says how the sign-in URL was copied instead of always claiming success, and the URL appears immediately when no browser can openFixed shell commands carried over from the foreground logging an internal error or showing a misleading `[exited with code -1]` line when they finish in background sessionsFixed a version-less marketplace plugin's live cache directory being deleted and recreated on a second-scope install, which could disrupt a running session using itFixed Remote Control sessions started with `/remote-control` not reporting the working-tree diff to connected clientsFixed self-hosted runner sessions reporting `running` before Claude Code had started, which could trigger a premature "Claude is waiting for your input" notification from the Claude desktop appFixed first-run setup exiting with "Unable to connect to Anthropic services" when managed settings configure Claude apps gateway sign-in and Anthropic endpoints are unreachableFixed cloud sessions (Claude Code on the web, desktop and mobile apps) sometimes showing the previous permission mode when you switch modes right after sending a messageFixed cloud sessions going silent when the session's container restarts between turns while a background agent, shell, or monitor is still running — the resumed session now reports the lost workImproved plugin marketplace hardening: names containing control or invisible characters are rejected, and marketplace-supplied text in `/plugin` and `claude plugin` output is escape-safeImproved Bedrock, Vertex, and Foundry sessions (and any with telemetry disabled): Claude is now told when a configured MCP server failed to connect, instead of concluding its tools don't existChanged Sonnet 5's default auto-compact window to its full 1M context, so sessions on the 1M window now auto-compact at about 967K tokens instead of about 934KChanged cross-session peer messages to collapse by default to a one-line `Message from @<sender>: <first line>` preview; Ctrl+O expands the full bodyChanged terminal hyperlinks in rendered markdown: link targets that point at a network or automounter path, contain a control character, or lead with an invisible character now render as plain textChanged the prompt-footer PR badge to skip its GitHub re-check on terminal refocus when the last check is under a minute oldChanged analytics to stay off from startup, not only after login, when managed settings force gateway login or a custom OAuth deployment is configuredChanged Claude apps gateway sign-in requests to identify Claude Code (a `surface=claude_code` device-authorization parameter and a `claude-code/<version>` User-Agent)Changed organization sign-in enforcement to exit at start when the administrator's managed settings cannot be read, even if host-supplied or per-user Windows registry settings exist
