FEATURE

Announcement cards appear above the input prompt, dismissible with key presses

When a model releases a new version, an older version is about to be deprecated, or there is a major service change, you can now see official notices directly in the terminal. These announcement cards appear above the input prompt, displaying one card at a time and ordered starting with the newest. If you press Esc in an empty input prompt, you can permanently dismiss the current card and move to the next one. If you send a message directly, the card will automatically hide for the rest of that session.

FEATURE

Windows command sandbox no longer requires administrator privileges, common tools work out of the box

When having AI run commands on Windows, sandbox protection will no longer get stuck due to insufficient permissions. This update improves the command sandboxing mechanism on Windows, eliminating the need for administrator privileges (the highest level of operating permission) when running protected commands. Common development tools, including Python, Git, and npm, now run smoothly inside the sandbox environment without manual adjustments to paths or settings.

BUGFIX

Markdown tables no longer misalign due to emoji or special characters

When viewing reports containing icons on a remote server, table columns will no longer become distorted. Previously, over an SSH remote connection or inside a tmux session (a terminal window multiplexer), cells in Markdown tables containing emoji like ⚠️ or 👍🏽, or text with combining characters such as Hindi, caused entire columns to misalign severely. This issue has now been resolved, and tables containing special characters remain neatly aligned in the terminal.

BUGFIX

Viewing .tiff image formats is no longer misidentified, preventing silent conversion

When asking AI to inspect high-resolution designs or scanned documents, image formats are now recognized correctly. Previously, when the AI assistant viewed images in .tiff format, the system misidentified the file type and quietly converted it to PNG in the background. This issue has been fixed, so .tiff images will no longer be reported as the wrong file type or silently converted to PNG.

Original changelog

Original changelogAnnouncement cards appear above the input prompt, dismissible with key presses
Added announcement cards above the prompt for model launches, deprecations, and other service notices. Cards appear one at a time, newest first; press `Esc` on an empty prompt to dismiss the current card permanently and show the next one, and sending a message hides the card for the rest of the session.
Original changelogWindows command sandbox no longer requires administrator privileges, common tools work out of the box
Improved the Windows command sandbox so sandboxed commands no longer need administrator rights, and common tools such as Python, Git, and `npm` work inside the sandbox out of the box.
Original changelogMarkdown tables no longer misalign due to emoji or special characters
Fixed markdown table columns drifting out of alignment when a cell contains emoji such as ⚠️ or 👍🏽 or scripts with combining characters such as Hindi, which affected every session over SSH or inside tmux.
Original changelogViewing .tiff image formats is no longer misidentified, preventing silent conversion
Fixed `.tiff` images being reported with the wrong file type and silently converted to PNG when the agent viewed them.
